The collaboration between BMW and PSA Peugeot Citroën has taken an important step forward with the announcement of an agreement to form a joint venture to 50% split will be devoted to the development of hybrid systems. But their ultimate purpose is even more ambitious: to shape an open platform “that will help European industry to be structured in the field of hybridization.”

BMW and PSA are currently some of the most advanced hybrid systems in their segments, so we’re more than just intrigued by this new partnership. Fruit, in any event, we will not see until within a few years.
