Hyundai has been working full time at the design center is in California, with the idea of presenting two prototypes at the Detroit Motor Show. This time, let’s talk about Curb Hyundai Concept, a crossover (balance between utilitarian and small SUV) which bears a certain resemblance to the Nissan Juke. Have an essentially urban orientation, and high altitude rugged appearance gives extra sensation to the driver safety.

For its design, have been based on the philosophy of “fluid sculpture” of the mark, albeit with some youthful style. Highlights the large glazed surface, curved at the front (as they say, is inspired by the case of motorists). We also draw considerable attention from the side ribs and 22”wheels with tires that show some orange accents. The design would give the car a robust, but without seeming to “an armored truck,” as stated one of the designers responsible for the project.

The engine also merits special mention. Equip block turbocharged GDI 1.6 with 175 hp. Also included is the start & stop system, and is mated to a dual-clutch shift. Their average consumption of 7.8 l/100 km are in town and 5.88 l/100 km.

As the carrier, we see that the connectivity is another of the qualities of Curb Hyundai Concept. The interior is filled with touch screens, where we can see 3D TV, make video calls and surf the internet. These technologies are quite far from actual use in a production car, but it is not impossible that in the future can be implemented so that the Korean company Hyundai has called Blue Link Technology.
Has not been made known the intention to bring mass production to Curb Hyundai Concept, but perhaps this model can inpired a next crossover. Or failing that, take some particular element (mechanical technology) for future Hyundai vehicles.
