World premiere of the Fiat motor for four fuels
Since it was created the first vehicle powered by an engine fueled with alcohol in Brazil in 1979, the trajectory of the Fiat company in the country was influenced by a commitment to design and development for this fuel.
Now the group has innovated the use of fuels and introduced the new Fiat Siena 1.4 Tetrafuel is the first vehicle in the world that can use four different types of fuel: ethanol 100% Brazilian gasoline with 20% alcohol, pure petrol as used in other Latin American countries and Europe and Compressed Natural Gas – CNG.
Besides being able to use different fuels, the key to this technological innovation of the new Fiat model is automating the process through a unique electronic system whereby the use of these fuels is alternated according to conditions and without driver intervention .
Means that an onboard computer decides which fuel is burned at one point leaving the driver free to concentrate on management thinking without having to operate the system according to the available fuel.
In other words, the driver does not have to do anything, the computer does it all automatically.
