The range now has 8 versions
The Volkswagen Touareg range features two new engines retrieving the number of mechanical versions that had the previous model.
Now comes a new naturally aspirated engine with 280 hp is at the base of the range of gasoline and other basics of diesel with 204 hp is also cheaper access to the range.
Both engines are offered in two trim levels provided, the basic and premium and ride the same change in the whole range, 8-speed Tiptronic and Blue Emotion incorporate technology to reduce consumption.
The new petrol engine is based on a block V-6 cylinder with 3.6 liters and 280 hp at 6,200 rpm with maximum torque of 360 Nm at 3,200 revolutions, average fuel consumption is 9.9 liters.
For its part, the new 204 hp diesel Touareg is based on the same block of 3-liter TDI, with a maximum torque of 400 Nm from just 1,400 to the 3,500 laps, average fuel consumption is 7.4 liters, is the same figure of 240 hp version, since it is an engine that shows slightly more economical in city, but less on the highway (extra-urban Cicle approved), with the same rate of CO2. In practice, when an engine that limits the performance will be better consumption, which is what usually happens.
